The Specs:

Layers: Our Damascus blades feature up to 230 layers of folded steel.

Hardness:  Each blade is oil quenched and treated from a 58 to 60 on the Rockwell Hardness Scale.

Steel: The layers are made from 1074 carbon and 15N20 steel. The layered steels are combined with roughly 2.5% nickel, which gives each blade an added toughness that can withstand the most rugged conditions in Alaska.

Handles: Antler (Moose, Caribou, Deer, etc), Wood (Birch, Olive Wood, Walnut, etc), Horn (Ram and Buffalo), Micarta

Care Instructions: High Carbon blades should always be wiped cleaned and dried after each use. Do not allow to soak in water. Regularly apply a little mineral oil to the blade, tang and spine. For long term storage, rub a little beeswax on the Damascus to avoid any oxidation.
